Zuluk is located on the Old Silk Route at 9,400 feet and is home to breathtakingly beautiful sights. Covered by snow in winters and forest-laden mountains on all sides, Zuluk has many exciting and incredibly beautiful places to visit and explore.

Aritar:

Aritar is a region in the Pakyong District of Sikkim under the Rongli Sub-Division. The breathtaking view of Khangchendzongha is an added charm to visiting Aritar. There are many places to visit in Aritar with astounding sights, Lampokhari being one, also known as Aritar Lake at an altitude of 4600ft, is one of the oldest natural lakes of Sikkim.

Nathang Valley:

Nathang Valley is one of the most famous valleys in Sikkim and is highly popular among adventure enthusiasts. Silk Route can be visited throughout the year, excluding monsoon and peak time of the winter season when the roads get blocked by thick snow. The best time to make the most enjoyment from your Silk Route journey is during the months between May and October, when the weather is charming for exploration, and the roads are immune from the wrath of rain and snow. The months of April, May, and June are the peak season with a high influx of tourists. Another good time window is the months of October and November before the onset of the winter season.

Itinerary

After picking up, start your wonderful trip to Silk route starting from Sillerygoan, a god gifted gem in the hills. Sillerygaon is a picture perfect hamlet in Kalimpong district of west Bengal & it is at an elevation of 6000ft. Check into the Homestay and after lunch take a Nature walk around Sillerygoan and explore the village & evening enjoy the sunset with hot snacks and tea. If you would like to relax and see Kanchenjunga from your cottage for a few days, this is the place for you. Sillerygaon is a magical place to spend time in leisure. You can see the snow-capped Kanchenjunga through the windows of your room.

Overnight stay at Sillerygaon.

Post breakfast proceed to Aritar. Aritar in East Sikkim known for its natural and landscaped beauty - Known for lush forest, mountains and rivers - The Aritar Lake Ghati-Tso is a nearby attraction. Aritar under Rongli sub division of East Sikkim is a tiny village situated on the Himalayas. The Lampokhari Lake, emerald forests, the sweeping hills with deep gorge and occasional waterfalls, the mountain slopes strewn with terrace farming and overall the panoramic view of the mighty Khangchendzonga range cast an indelible imprint on the mind of the traveller never to be effaced with the passage of time. Overnight stay at Aritar.

After morning breakfast proceed to Zuluk. Before that all the permit proceedings have to be finished. Zuluk is a relatively new offbeat destination of Sikkim and has a primitive charm. The emerald forests, the sweeping hills with deep gorge and occasional waterfalls, the mountain slopes strewn with terrace farming and overall the panoramic view of the mighty Khangchendzonga range cast an indelible imprint on the mind of the traveller never to be effaced with the passage of time. Zuluk or Duluk is situated at an altitude of 10, 000 ft. of sea level and has a primitive charm. Zuluk perched on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim is a hamlet close to Indo-China border. Zuluk is located on the famous Old-Silk-Route. Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight stay at Zuluk.

The drive is subjected to the condition of ice in road / Weather, etc. - Early morning breakfast – Zuluk - Lungthung - Nathang Valley – Kupup – The drive will be to a higher altitude – One has to stop at Rongli for permit and documentation – Travel onward to The Thambi View Point at 11000 feet - Next is Lungthung at about 13000 feet, Gnathang Valley, Tukla Valley 12500 feet, Jepepla Pass View and reach Kupup Lake - The Yak Golf Course is the highest golf course in the world at 13025 feet – Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight stay at Nathang.

After Breakfast , start for Reshikhola . Reshikhola is a riverside destination just 37 km from Kalimpong and very near to Pedong. The little village of Reshikhola received its name from the Reshi River running along this small place. Over Night stay at Reshikhola.

In the morning you can stroll about in the small hamlet around. Later on, check out and drive to NJP / Bagdogra for return journey, and cherish your holiday forever.

How do I get from Gangtok to Zuluk?

From the Gangtok route to Zuluk, it is via Tsomgo Lake, New Baba Mandir, Nathang Valley, Kupup, and then to Zuluk. It takes about 4 hours of a distance drive from Zuluk to the various places. But from Kalimpong, the route is via Pedong, Aritra, Rhenock, Rongli, Phadamchen and then to Zuluk.
