Sandakphu Trek for 6 Days at a glance
Our driver will greet the guest at NJP or Bagdogra and drive them to Maneybhanjyang (3.5 hrs). Overnight stay at Maneybhanjyang. Short introduction session and briefing for the trek will be held in the evening with essential documentation formalities.
After breakfast start trekking towards Tumling (12 km) which will take 6 to 7 hrs. Get mesmerised by the fascinating views that come your way with beautiful landscapes. Tumling welcomes you with a breathtaking view all around with beautiful Kanchanjunga.
Wake up early to view beautiful sunrise from Tumling. Advance towards Kalapokhari (13 km) through Singalila National Park, trail crosses along Indo- Nepal border for 8 hrs. Kalapokhari, a small village in Nepal is also well known for a sacred pond of the same name.
Early breakfast and we proceed to Sandakphu (6 km), highest point of West Bengal which takes approx. 4 to 5 hrs. Lunch will be served at hotel at Sandakphu and we walk to aahal (1 km) further away to see the sunset. Sandakphu is the only place in the world from where one can see four highest mountain peaks of the world ranging from peaks in Bhutan, India and Nepal.
Wake up early in the morning for fascinating view of sunrise and glorious Kanchanjunga range. After breakfast proceed towards Timburey (12 km) which will be the toughest downhill trek for 6 hrs through the forest. Lunch and dinner will be served here and overnight stay at homestay.
Sandakphu trek plan ends at Sepi. Take a drive back to Bagdogra or NJP with loads of memories.
