Does Kathmandu have snow?

Our Guest Rating - 5/5 - (11 votes)

It is not likely to snow in the Kathmandu city area but at the outskirts of Kathmandu, at slightly high elevation, you will notice snowfall. Therefore, if you really want to enjoy snowfall, you don’t have to travel long distances outside Kathmandu.

Where is the best view of Everest?

Our Guest Rating - 5/5 - (11 votes)

Kala Patthar (also known as Kala Pattar or Kalapatar, 5,164m), near Everest Basecamp, remains the top viewpoint in Nepal. It offers the closest view on Mount Everest one can get to without serious mountaineering skills.

What's the altitude of Kathmandu?

Our Guest Rating - 5/5 - (11 votes)

Kathmandu, also spelled Katmandu or Kantipur, capital of Nepal. It lies in a hilly region near the confluence of the Baghmati and Vishnumati rivers, at an elevation of 4,344 feet (1,324 metres) above sea level.

Can you see Mount Everest from Everest Base Camp?

Our Guest Rating - 5/5 - (11 votes)

While you can’t see Mount Everest from Base Camp – there are other insanely tall mountains blocking your view – from day one of the hike, you’ll have great views of the world’s tallest mountain so you’ll have lots of snaps of Mount Everest from other parts of the hike.
